About Me

Learn More

Hi, I’m LJ (my real first name), and I’m a speculative fiction writer turned narrative designer for video games.

I love building worlds and creating complex relationships between characters. Contrasting ideologies is the root of conflict, and I aim to explore the nuances of the human experience in how characters relate to each other and the world around them.

An Oregon native, I traded the forest for the beach and live in Los Angeles. I still hike, but now I also play a lot of volleyball. The handsome dog is my bashful, suspicious Jindo-mix named Leon. Once he’s decided you’re not a murderer, he’s unbelievably sweet.

I’m currently pursuing a part time master’s degree in “Narrative Futures” at the University of Edinburgh in their brand new Edinburgh Futures Institute. Once a semester, I visit Scotland to take classes in person. The rest of the time, I’m up at odd hours doing it all virtually with the in-person students.

Comic book artist

Interested and interesting, LJ would be an asset in any room he finds himself in. He’s got the chops.

Jon Callan

Television and video game writer

A triple threat who collaboratively develops story, writes real and authentic characters — and has the hard-earned technical prowess to get narrative off the page into the game.
